Year 7 and 8 Interhouse football competition
The Year 7/8 Interhouse Football Competition delivered an afternoon full of excitement, goals, and excellent sportsmanship.
All four housesYork, Tudor, Stuart, and Lancasterplayed each other in a round robin format, producing several high scoring matches and some outstanding individual and team performances.
There were many memorable moments throughout the event, including some excellent goals from a range of pupils.
Across all matches, pupils demonstrated strong teamwork, resilience, and skill.
After a very competitive series of matches, the final standings were:
Final Standings
4th Place – Lancaster House
Showed determination and worked hard in every fixture.
3rd Place – York House
Demonstrated solid attacking play and consistent effort.
2nd Place – Tudor House
Finished level on points with the leaders and only missed out by the narrowest of margins.
1st Place – Stuart House
Crowned champions after finishing level on points with Tudor but winning the title on goal difference by just two goals.
The closeness of the results highlighted the competitive spirit of the afternoon, with first and second place separated only by those crucial two goals.

Year 7 BreadMaking Fun! Our Year 7 students rolled up their sleeves today and got stuck into some handson baking. They carefully weighed out their ingredients and then kneaded their dough for a full 10 minutes lots of hard work, but plenty of smiles too! We're delighted to say that the results were fantastic! The students produced some amazing loaves and were so proud of what they achieved.
Year 8 Design Technology – Automaton Features in Progress! Our Year 8 students have been busy in Design Technology today, developing and refining the features for their wooden automatons. We can't wait to see these mechanisms come to life!
Junior Bake Off has recently opened the applications for their 12th series, a Channel 4 competition series celebrating Britain's young baking talent.
District Swimming Gala Success! On Friday, four teams headed off to the District Swimming Gala and what a fantastic job they all did! Year 5/6 Girls B Team – 10th place Year 5/6 Girls A Team – (please add placement if known!) Year 5/6 Boys Team – 4th place Year 7/8 Girls Team – 1st place! Our first winning team in at least 11 years! We are so proud of every swimmer for their effort, teamwork, and determination. A huge well done to everyone who took part you represented the school brilliantly! We're incredibly proud of all our swimmers for representing us so confidently and giving it their all in the pool. Well done, teams!
