Sports Report – Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics
Following the success of the morning session with our Year 7/8 teams, the Year 5/6 athletes showed the same drive and determination, working in true fellowship to achieve an incredible team performance.
The girls' team were electrifying on both the track and in the field, winning and finishing second in most of their events. Their speed and consistency set the tone for the competition. The boys' team faced strong competitors in their events but demonstrated relentless effort, fighting for every single point with passion and resilience.
Together, the combined scores of the boys and girls secured a record-breaking fifth consecutive win for St Peter's Year 5/6 team, meaning they have once again qualified for the County Finals. This achievement reflects the values of pride, passion, and teamwork, which were at the heart of their success.
Mr Kirkby commented:

Science lessons this week for Year 8 saw them learn about how metals react with water. Lithium, potassium, and sodium were all tested.
Match Report – WSSP Table Tennis Competition It has been an incredibly busy week of sport at St Peter's, and our Year 5 and 6 students capped it off with a fantastic experience at The Windsor Boys' School. Three of our students took part in a fun and competitive table tennis event against some talented Year 9 players. The spirit and sportsmanship shown by the Year 9 students were excellent, creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Our students not only learned a lot from the experience but also performed incredibly well, winning several matches against older and more experienced opponentsa brilliant achievement! This event was a great example of how sport can bring people together, and our students displayed the school values of fellowship, pride, and passion throughout. Mr Kirkby commented: "I'm so proud of our students for stepping up to the challenge. They showed determination, respect, and a willingness to learn, and to win matches against Year 9 players is a fantastic accomplishment." Well done to all involved – a great end to a busy sporting week!
Year 5 students started making their snowman biscuit toppings. Over the next couple of weeks they will be making their Christmas biscuits, ready to bring home.
Year 6 students have been busy finishing off their wooden roll-along toys in Design Technology and adding pyrography details.

Match Report – Year 7 RBWM Netball League Our Year 7 team competed in six thrilling matches in the RBWM Netball League. The girls showed fantastic determination and teamwork throughout the tournament, truly living out our school values of fellowship and integrity. Across the day, the team lost two matches, drew three matches, and finished strongly by winning their final game. The highlight of the event came in that last match, where Rebeca O scored an outstanding winning goal, securing a well-deserved victory for the team. Every player contributed brilliantly, demonstrating resilience and sportsmanship in every game. Mr Kirkby was extremely proud of the team's effort, attitude, and positive spirit, which were a credit to St Peter's. Well done, Year 7!
